Kelowna, BC (January 21, 2009) – RE/MAX of Western Canada’s Regional Executive Vice President, Elton Ash, is proud to announce that the Western Canada 26th Annual Conference will be held in Victoria, BC at the Victoria Conference Centre and Crystal Gardens. Nearly six hundred delegates from across Western Canada will be “Lovin’ Every Minute” at this 80’s-themed three day event, on February 5-7, 2009.

RE/MAX agents from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon Territories, will join to re-connect with colleagues and build new referral networks. RE/MAX agents will “Just Want to Have Fun” at the 80’s fun night where the music, décor and entertainment will take us back nearly 30 years. Comedian Tim Nutt will begin the evening, and recently inducted to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the band Loverboy will follow. This blast from the past evening will make this one of the most memorable RE/MAX events in our 26 years.

Delegates will begin their day Saturday with an energetic and uplifting breakfast fundraiser and live/silent auction. Proceeds from the “Breakfast of Champions” will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, raising money for sick and injured children in our local communities. In 2008, over $67,000 was donated to the cause. Saturday evening will conclude with a celebration of the achievements of our over 5,900 sales associates, as they walk across the stage in front of family and friends. The Famous Players Band will provide Gala night entertainment.

Keynote speakers will include Ray Zahab, who explores the word “challenge” and how to overcome the most insurmountable obstacles, by exploring his experience in ultra-distance foot races. Dave Beson delves into real estate specific topics such as improving your referrals, networking and using technology and tools to their fullest. Finally, Steve Gelliland, former director of Sales & Service for Hallmark America, discusses growing your business and expanding your life by teaching you to rethink your work, relationships and yourself.
